The state Department recommends citizens not to visit Ukraine, Turkey, Egypt and other countries.
The US state Department has warned Americans about the terrorist threat around the world and stated the need to be vigilant in this regard.
“Since the terrorist attacks, political upheavals and acts of violence often occur without warning, U.S. citizens are encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to increase their security while traveling”, – stated in the warning of the us diplomatic corps.
It replaces a similar document dated 6 March 2017.
U.S. citizens are encouraged to check before you travel information about the countries on the Department’s website, and sign up for a special program that allows you to send messages and identify their location in case of emergencies.
“Terrorist groups like “Islamic state” and “al-Qaeda” and their supporters are going to attack American citizens, no matter where they were. The extremists may use conventional or not related to conventional weapons for attacks on American citizens or private interests”, – stated in the message.
The warning identifies a number of countries in respect of which the Americans are warning of the dangers of travel. They include the Ukraine, Turkey, North Korea, Iran, Egypt, Afghanistan and other countries.
