Right populist party of Geert Wilders, advocating for the release of the Netherlands from the European Union, failed to win the parliamentary elections, writes the German Agency Deutsche Welle.
“The Netherlands after trump and Brexit said, Quite harmful populism”, – commented on the will of the Dutch Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
For this reason staff Agency cartoonist Sergei Elkin portrayed the “Dutch Hello skeptics and soothsayers of the impending collapse of the European Union”.
At the last parliamentary elections in the Netherlands took first place in the people’s party for freedom and democracy, the incumbent Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who heads the country’s government since 2010. The party leader of right-wing supporters out of the EU Geert Wilders lost to the Democrats with a crushing result. Voter turnout was the highest in 30 years.
