The Finance Ministry stated about full readiness of a planned peak debt payments in may.
With the beginning of the year Ukraine has paid UAH 166 billion of debt. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of Finance.
“As of may 2 amount of funds in the Single Treasury account was made up of 36.85 billion UAH, and also on the currency accounts of the state Committee in the hryvnia equivalent to UAH 53.8 billion. Thus, the Finance Ministry is fully ready for the planned passage of peak debt load may”, – stated in the message.
The Ministry reminded that payments on the state debt in January-April amounted to about 126,9 billion, or 98.1% of the amended plan for that period. The costs of debt service for the period amounted to approximately 39 billion, or 99.9% of the amended plan.
As reported, only in 2019 Ukraine will pay 460 billion debt. Payments peaks in may and September.
Previously, the Finance Ministry reported that in March the total national debt of Ukraine grew in dollar terms by $ 0.54 billion (or 0.7%) to of 78.78 billion.
