Trump commended the conversation with Lavrov.
American President Donald trump is very positively described the meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the White House.
“We had a very good conversation with Minister Lavrov”,- quote the media.
“What we want to do is to see that as murder, horrible murder in Syria will be stopped as soon as possible, and each side works on it,” he added.
In turn, Lavrov after the meeting said that trump has expressed its desire for mutually beneficial business and pragmatic relations with Moscow, reports the Russian Service Bi-bi-si.
The Russian Minister said that the issue of sanctions was not discussed, and also noted what the two sides will continue consultations on the situation in Afghanistan and in the East of Ukraine.
“Our dialogue is free from ideologized, which was characteristic of the Obama administration. The administration of the trump, and the President and the Secretary, I today once again convinced the business people and they want to negotiate not in order to show someone some of his achievements in the field of ideological preferences, and negotiate to solve specific issues,” – said Lavrov.
