Russia is ready to take Komi Republic under his protection.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to grant the former head of the FBI James Komi political asylum. He said this during a “Straight line”.
According to him, Russia is ready to take Komi if in the US against him will begin any prosecution.
“Suddenly he said that he recorded the conversation with the President (of the USA Donald trump – ed.), and then through his friend, gave this talk in the media. Well, that sounds very strange. When the head of the intelligence services record the conversation with the Supreme commander, and then another, through his friend, reports in the media. And what if the FBI Director is different from Mr Snowden? Then he is not the head of intelligence service, and he is the advocate who defends a certain position. By the way, if in this regard against any prosecution will occur, we and he (Komi) is ready to provide political asylum in Russia. He must know about it”, — Putin said.
We will remind, after trump was removed from the post of the head of the Komi FBI on may 9, appeared in the press leak with the assumptions that trump tried to push the officer and his investigation.
