The police expect participation in festivities around eight million believers.
Security in Ukraine on Easter will provide about 21 thousand militiamen. This was stated by the Deputy head of the national police Alexander Fatsevich, the press service of the interior Ministry.
“In celebration of Easter, the police expect to hold religious services in more than 16 thousands of religious buildings. Thus, it is expected the participation in these events about eight million believers. To ensure public safety it is planned to attract about 21 thousand police officers, of which 20 thousand police officers”, – stated in the message.
According to Fatsevich, April 27 for the period of Easter, may holidays and memorial days unit of national police transferred to the strengthened mode of service.
The police must ensure that a survey of religious buildings. Patrols will also serve near places of rest of citizens, especially in forested areas to prevent fires.
Note, in the night of 28 April in Kiev will be extended operation of the subway until 01:00 in connection with the celebration of Easter.
