Electra company Meccanica auto show in Vancouver introduced the concept of the new Roadster Tofino, reminiscent of Porsche models.
The creators of the models promise Tofino overclocking to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds. Chassis and bodyshell of the Roadster are manufactured from a lightweight composite material. According to the journalists, the novelty resembles not only Porsche, but also model Mazda MX5.
In addition to the Roadster, Electra Meccanica has officially unveiled a sportier version of the three-wheeled electric vehicle Solo. Length of single electric vehicle made up 3.04 meters and the weight of the car is 450 kg. The engine of the small car has a capacity of 82 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. Its maximum speed was 130 miles per hour, and the price – about 15 thousand dollars.
“We are very proud to have shown our company, together with a couple of very interesting new cars in our hometown. This is a step forward for our brand, and they represent the best of what we can achieve from the standpoint of productivity,” said mark West, President of Electra Meccanica.
The company argued that the production of Tofino should begin in two years. But the first SOLO cars will go to buyers in may this year.
