According to official statistics, in 2016, the Russian investors have invested in Ukraine $ 1667000000, that is only slightly less than all EU countries together. Moreover, compared to 2015 the year of Russian investment in Ukraine increased by 2.5 times.
So, according to the official statistics of Goskomstat in 2016, Ukraine’s economy received foreign direct investment of just over $ 4400000000, which is approximately 17% higher than the previous year – $ 3763700000. In General, in the economy of Ukraine was invested by the representatives of 77 countries, but the largest investor in Russia.
According to official statistics, the direct investment of Russian business in 2016 in the economy amounted to $ 1667000000, or about 37,84% of all foreign investment. For comparison, all EU countries in 2016, provided approximately 45% of all foreign investments in the Ukrainian economy, while the largest investor was formally Cyprus – $ 427 700 000.
In 2015, the volume of new direct investments of Russian companies in the Ukrainian economy was estimated by Goskomstat at $ 676 200 000.
