Tabakov confirmed the information about his illness
Director of the Moscow art theatre (MKhT) named after Chekhov, the national actor of the USSR Oleg Tabakov in response to a request to confirm information about his hospitalisation said that he was sick.
“I’m sick”, — said the actor in response to a question of journalists. After that, he hung up. Earlier on Monday in the First city hospital reported that tobacco was delivered in the sixth intensive care unit.
In a press-service of the theatre “Tabakerka” said the artist goes through routine dental examination at a private clinic. Two performances of “Snuff” with the participation of theatre — “a Year when I was born” and “the Seagull” — have been cancelled. The theater said that this is due to damage to decorations.
In the Chekhov Moscow art theatre also announced the cancellation appointed on 29 November of the play “the Anniversary of jeweler”, which tobacco was supposed to play a major role.
