According to data collected by the researchers, the population of the UK is the fattest in Europe.
The report of the European Commission and the Organization for economic cooperation and development (OECD), which investigated 31 countries, including 27 member States of the European Union, provides evidence that the British are the thickest in Europe.
So, according to the survey, 25% of the adult UK population is obese. Second place is occupied by Ireland and Malta, where the proportion of obese people is 23% and 22.3%, respectively.
At least the problem of obesity has affected Romania (7.9 per cent), Switzerland (8,1%) and Italy (9.9 percent).
As you know, excessive fullness, entails a number of diseases, including heart disease, disorders of blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis and even some types of cancer.
