The President of Belarus announced that on Wednesday ended with a joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises.
The President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the completion of a joint Russian-Belarusian strategic military exercises Zapad-2017.
“Today concluded a joint Russian-Belarusian exercises “West-2017,” — said Lukashenko during his speech at the end of maneuvers.
Strategic exercises “West-2017” held 14-20 September on the territory of Belarus, as well as on three sites of Russia. The total number of the personnel participating in the exercise, more than 12 thousand people. In addition, the maneuvers involved about 70 aircraft and helicopters, and 680 pieces of equipment, including about 250 tanks, 200 guns, rocket systems of volley fire and mortars, and up to ten warships.
