Armed forces of Latvia recorded the Russian submarines
Off the coast of the Latvian Armed forces detected a Russian submarine and support ship and submarines.
This is reported by the National armed forces of Latvia in Twitter.
“On April 16 at a distance of 5.5 nautical miles from the Latvian border in the exclusive economic zone was detected two Russian submarines of class “Kilo”, – stated in the message.
Also in the National armed forces of Latvia said that on the same day at a distance of 20 nautical miles from the territorial waters the ship was recorded of the technical support of the submarine class “Chestnut”.
As previously reported, on Monday the 17th of April in Latvia the NATO exercise Summer Shield, which will be attended by more than 1.2 thousand servicemen from different countries.
The exercises will be held in the Latvian Adazi landfill and will last until April 30.
In addition to Estonia, international military exercises on the ādaži landfill and adjacent areas will participate soldiers from Latvia, Lithuania, USA, Canada, UK, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Germany and Sweden.
