“Two hours ago, were forced to shut down all the computers.”
The computer system of the Metropolitan power company “Kyivenergo” has undergone to hacker attack, said the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” the press service of the company.
“We were under attack. Two hours ago, were forced to shut down all computers, the expected resolution for inclusion from the security service”, – said the press service.
According to the Agency, hacker attack was subjected to a number of state banks and companies.
“Kyivenergo” operates almost all energy facilities located in the capital, with the exception of the Darnytsia heat and power.
Recall that in mid-June, the information security specialists Dragos reported the involvement of Russian hackers for attack on national grid company “Ukrenergo” in December of 2016.
Then due to a failure in the automatic control of the substation “North” comes off of consumers the right Bank of Kiev and the adjacent districts in Kyiv region.
In December 2015 a considerable part of the Ivano-Frankivsk region and Ivano-Frankivsk remained without power. Later the security Service said about a virus attack on power companies of the Russian special services.
During the investigation, Ukraine was visited by representatives of the FBI, the U.S. state Department, the Department of homeland security and the Department of energy. They found evidence that the attack on the Ukrainian power system was a group of well trained hackers from Russia.
