Testing new products lasted for 25 months, during which it was built 150 prototypes. The car was tested in four countries, at several racetracks, including the nürburgring and Nardo, but also in the deserts and hot climate of the Middle East and the Arctic circle. In total, the car drove about 400 laps on the “Nordschleife”.
Maximum “zero” the temperature was during the tests of the machines reached 48 degrees Celsius, and “freezing” is 40 degrees. The maximum height above sea level, where the test was 1.5 km.
The test involved 500 engineers. The tests took a total of 120 thousand hours.
In June, Jaguar has shown the first pictures of the E-Pace without camouflage – they see the profile of the crossover and tail light. From the technical details while it is known only that the model will get all-wheel drive and a range of engines consisting of “turbochetverkami” of the family Ingenium.
New E-Pace will compete with the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and Lexus NX.
