This is by 56.2% more compared to the corresponding period last year
In Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation) in January-June 2017 commissioned 5 million of 139.2 thousand in sq. m of total area of housing, which is 56.2 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2016.
This is evidenced by the State statistics service of Ukraine (gosstat).
A significant proportion (63.7 per cent) of the total housing commissioned in homes with two or more apartments and 35.8% in single-family homes and 0.5% – in hostels. The total area put into operation of housing in urban areas amounted to 3 million 837,7 thousand square meters, in rural areas – 1 million figure of $ 301.5 thousand sq. m.
Of the total area put into operation the housing 4 million 967 thousand square meters was area of the apartments, of 172.2 thousand square meters – the area of hostels and increase the area of the existing flats due to the reconstruction.
In addition, for 6 months 2017 in Ukraine, put into operation garden houses a total area of 191.8 thousand sq m, which is 33.9% more volume last year.
In January-June, 2017 total area put into operation of housing, as well as cottages and houses amounted to 5 million 331 thousand square meters, compared with the 2016 more by 55.2%.
