The General Directorate of national police in the Donetsk region has prohibited the importation into the territory of field weapons, even if you have permission for its possession.
As the press service of the regional police, the order was signed by the chief of police of the region Vyacheslav Abroskin.
According to the press service, in the Donetsk region, the cases of transportation of firearms through checkpoints, in many cases, the owners, exposing the surrounding danger, do not comply with the rules for the treatment of registered firearms.
“In a time when hunting in the Donetsk region were prohibited, the question of why people carry weapons through the checkpoints, remains open. So I decided when detecting people at checkpoints firearms asking them to surrender their weapons to police stations. In the case that the person will refuse, to prohibit further entry. In the area of the ATO we can’t afford the luxury that people roamed the streets with weapons,” – said Abroskin.
In this regard, the police of the Donetsk region urged people not to carry such items, and citizens who decided to drive through the checkpoint with a weapon, to hand it over to the police station for as many as will be on the territory of Donetsk region.
