The Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan told that in plans of the Department to recover more than 2 thousand km of roads.
About it reports a press-service of the Ministry.
“In 2016, we stated that the road is a priority. We adhere to his word. 1 thousand km were repaired last year, more than 2 thousand km, I hope we will be able to recover this year,” – said the head of the Ministry.
Omeljan believes that construction of roads will provide an additional incentive for the development of the regions ports, and will create additional jobs. Also in 2017 it is planned to restore 80 bridges.
According to the Omelyan, it is critical for restoration of infrastructure of Donbass.
“We should promote the birth of a new Donbas. This can be done through development of roads, new railroads, in the future, hopefully, and air transportation as well. I’d be grateful to the government and Parliament, if possible to accumulate an additional resource for this purpose,” added Omeljan.
