New truck Fiat Fullback Cross in a hurry to surprise the market.
Recently, the pickups become more than just a “workhorse”. Some buy this modest breed of utilitarian vehicles to simply declare themselves. Given this trend, Fiat has launched a new version of the Fullback’s Cross with a sports design elements and additional set of equipment.
It is designed to “further enhance the appeal of Fullback from buyers with a special vision of life”. The car received some exterior styling updates, including a revised grille with a matte black color and silver skid plate. Black style accents continue throughout the vehicle, including the body of the rear view mirrors, rims, door handles and roof rails over the body.
However, inside the Fullback Cross can hardly be distinguished from the regular model and the Mitsubishi L200. Leather seats, automatic two-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Parking camera and satellite navigation — the main points of the specification. In addition, the optionally available bi-xenon headlights with led daytime running lights, seven airbags, TSC (Trailer Stability Control), prevention of lane traffic, cruise control and more.
Only available with double cab, 2017 Fiat Fullback Cross uses a 2.4-liter turbo developing 180 HP power and 430 Nm of torque. An equivalent engine installed in the model Mitsubishi. It is characterized by a variable turbine geometry turbocharger, aluminum block and cylinder head.
The standard engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic transmission.
Prices are not yet available, they promise to name closer to the exit of a pickup truck on the market, which is expected this summer. The automaker also “forgot” to mention the capabilities of the car, though, apparently, they will not differ from the standard version — carrying capacity of 1 035 kg, and maximum weight of towed trailer — 3 100 kg.
