During the occupation of the city by militants of the 60-year-old defendant agreed to lead a so-called election Commission.
The Prosecutor demands a prison term for a resident of Slavyansk, who will be tried on charges of involvement in the organization and conduct of the illegal pseudo-referendum in support of the DNR terrorist organization in the spring of 2014. According to the prosecution, in may 2014, during the occupation of Slavyansk controlled by the Kremlin fighters 60-the summer local resident has accepted the offer to lead the so-called precinct election Commission for holding a fake referendum.
The pensioner was organized and controlled the work of the “Commission members”, in particular in the formation of lists for the so-called voting, the counting of the “ballots,” the signing of the “Protocol” and transfer it to terrorists, according to the Prosecutor’s office.
Actions accused are qualified under part 2 of article 110 of the criminal code (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, committed on preliminary arrangement by group of persons), to it threatens from five till ten years of imprisonment.
