Lyon held an unusual protest.
French farmers brought to the place Bellecour, in the center of Lyon, about a thousand sheep in protest against the restrictions on shooting wolves.
The farmers say that in 2016 these predators destroyed in France about 10 thousand sheep.
The farmers March began at noon, they headed to the Prefecture of the city to present their demands to the authorities. The organizers were the national Federation of trade unions of farmers (FNSEA) and the national Federation of sheep (FNO).
The last legislative initiative allows you to kill 40 wolves in the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Farmers require “a permanent right to protect their herds.”
