These products should never be frozen

Purchase products in bulk and freezing them is a great way to save money and to always have on hand stocks.

However, there are foods, which in any case should not freeze, guided by the preservation of their quality and even safety issue.

We present you 7 the products should not be stored in the freezer:

Fruits and vegetables with high water content. Melon, celery, cucumbers and lettuce should not be frozen because it will turn limp and tasteless.

Dairy products and cream. Sour cream, cream, yoghurt and custard will simply stratify when frozen, so we advise you to keep out away from the freezer.

A soft cheese. While hard cheeses such as cheddar, Swiss and Parmesan, are perfect for storage in the freezer, cream cheese, cheese and cottage cheese for these purposes are not suitable.

Fried foods. Such products are in the process of freezing also run the risk of becoming lethargic, losing a delicious crispy crust.

Sauces. Gravies, dressings and sauces that have been thickened using flour or corn starch, freeze exfoliate.

Ready pasta. Cooked pasta after thawing will be just rubber. If you plan to freeze cooked pasta, it is better to boil them to al dente degree. This will help to retain flavor.

Eggs in the shell. You may well beat the eggs and send them without the shell in the freezer. In this form they can be stored for up to a year. However, eggs in the shell should never be subjected to freezing.

Freezing products is a great solution in many situations, but don’t sacrifice their quality and especially their health!
