This country leads the battle for cleanliness and environmental order on the planet, and their latest ambitious idea is to create the world’s first “forest city”.

The city, designed by Stefano Boeri (Stefano Boeri), which you may know for design 2 “green skyscrapers”, which is also based in China, is already under construction and it will be situated in the district of Liuzhou, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region.

After construction, the new city will be able to accept about 30 thousand inhabitants, and due to the abundance of green space, it can absorb almost 10 thousand tons of CO2 per year, in General he will be able to pass through itself somewhere 57 tons per year of various pollutants, substances, producing about 900 tonnes per year of oxygen.

These fantastic figures will become real thanks to the approximately one million of the flora that will be planted here, and which will consist of 100 different types of plants. In addition, the town homes will also be decorated with greenery, it is reported that approximately 40 thousand trees will find their refuge on the facades of buildings.

New Liuzhou “Forest city” will be connected with the old Liuzhou by using modern trains and electric cars; also on site will be erected at several schools and two hospitals. Not spared engineers and modern equipment of the city, wanting to make it energy independent, they decided to install geothermal plant and solar panels.

“Plants should be located not only in parks, gardens and along streets, but also on the facades of buildings, working from clean sources of energy that are designed to improve air quality (absorbing 57 tons per year of CO2 and fine particles), it will contribute to the reduction of average air temperature and the formation of a noise barrier and can improve the biodiversity of living organisms, creating a habitat for birds, insects and small animals living on the territory of Liuzhou.”

He hoped that this stunning project will be implemented until 2020.
