The psychologist told about the benefits of solitude

It turns out that being lonely is not always bad.

In the world many years it was believed that people are not created to be alone. However, the modern world is hard to prove the opposite. Today solitude is a valuable resource for creativity and self-development.

This was reported by the psychologist Ekaterina Melnikova.

“In today’s world, more and more people choose loneliness. Some do it consciously, some not, one does not want to have emotional attachments, others avoid even physical intimacy. But in any case, loneliness remains a loneliness. Today, when the question of survival is no longer as acute as it was a thousand years ago, people increasingly focused on self-knowledge, creativity and self-development”, – said the expert.

According to E. Melnikova, unfortunately, because of the difficult socio-economic situation in the world of children to adolescence understand that they can count only on themselves and begin to consider any relationship with the profitability. Moreover, every year in the world more and more people with psychological disorders complexes, poor self esteem and so on, so it is more difficult to create social connections.

“Active and independent life in the modern world is of greater value, in contrast to the family, which fades into the background. From a psychological point of view, this trend has its pros: living alone in a person much more likely to know themselves, and therefore be happy,” added the expert.

The psychologist also emphasized that loneliness is a very valuable resource if used wisely. Who would be there and what is not said, and not a man can not exist without strong social ties. Moreover, they are one of the main indicators of psychological health.

“Loners don’t always suffer, are not useless to society and are not afraid to be alone all my life, they learn about themselves and the world. This files most often through certain stages of understanding these people are able to create really strong and happy family, unlike the people who are afraid of loneliness and trying to fulfill themselves at the expense of marriage. So I suggest to every person that is in search of himself and his place in life to live a little one in order to see the real you and love all its pros and cons,” – concluded E. Melnikov.
