Yanukovych was suspected of treason, he faces up to 15 years of jail in Ukraine

The former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is suspected of treason. This was reported by the investigators of the Main investigation Department of the State Bureau of investigation (GBR) Ukraine.

Along with him are two ex-defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin and Pavlo Lebedev. Suspected all three. According to investigators, they are from 2012 to 2014 committed actions aimed at undermining sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, its defense capability, reports “Interfax”.

In the case of proof of guilt of the suspect is threatened by punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of 12 to 15 years with confiscation of property.
