Fighter-bomber F/A-18E Super Hornet crashed into the sea just before landing on the deck of the aircraft carrier “Carl Vinson”.
The incident occurred in the area of Sulawesi.
This is stated in the press service of the Seventh fleet of the U.S. Navy.
Completing a scheduled flight, the fighter from the second deck of the squadron approached the aircraft carrier and crashed. The pilot managed to eject into the sea, where it was picked up by a rescue helicopter. Doctors have not diagnosed for the pilot serious injuries.
