Ten mysterious places.

People living thousands of years ago, created some amazing buildings. These buildings are so amazing that scientists for hundreds of years searched for answers to the question of who, why and most importantly how they were built without proper technology. There are different theories, from rational to extraterrestrial.

We have compiled a list of the most mysterious historical monuments.

1. Stonehenge, England

Legend has it that Stonehenge was built by the magician and Merlin the wizard Merlin. In fact, the stone complex appeared before the fictional era of king Arthur. It remains incredible how huge boulders came from a quarry on the present place, breaking the 100-kilometer distance.

2. Baalbek, Lebanon

It remains unclear how the builders were able to erect the column, weighing 1,000 tons.

3. Newgrange, Ireland

Surprisingly, this age of this mound bigger than the Egyptian pyramids.

4. Dolmens Of The Caucasus, Russia

10. Angkor Wat, Cambodia
