The train Mukachevo – Budapest will start at the end of the summer

Ukrzaliznytsia carrying out preparatory works to launch new trains from Mukachevo to the capital of Hungary.

Ukrzaliznytsia plans to run the train Mukachevo-Budapest on euroklee the end of summer. This was announced by acting Chairman of the management Board of the company Evgeny Kravtsov in Facebook.

“By the end of the summer euroklee must run the promised train Mukachevo-Budapest. Specifically for this, 500 m from the railway station of Mukachevo, begin to build a separate landing platform. It will be adjacent to the standard gauge of 1,435 mm,” he wrote.

Now the BONDS approves the project in parallel to working through the question of the timetable and fares, added Kravtsov.

In addition to the new platform, planned to put in order about 40 km evroputi.

In the future the company wants to establish direct rail links narrow track with Slovakia, the Czech Republic and other EU countries.

The new train to the Hungarian capital can be reached in six hours. The route will pass through the Hungarian city of Debrecen and nyíregyháza.
