The number of attacks in the Donbass increased to 18

Illegal armed groups have increased the number of attacks, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured.

In the past days, the separatists are 18 times opened fire on positions of Armed forces of Ukraine, two Ukrainian servicemen were injured. On Thursday, may 2, the press centre of the headquarters operations of joint forces.

It is noted that six of the attacks were carried out with the use prohibited by the accords 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. The enemy also fired at the Ukrainian defenders of grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

“In the area of responsibility of tactical group East opponent 16 times fired at positions of the joint forces: twice with 120 and 82 mm mortars – near the village of Sands point; with three 82 mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenades of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements novomihaylovka, Krasnogorovka and mykolaivka; eight times from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Novotroitskoe, Marinka, Avdeevka, Palopoli, Nevel, Food Item and Shirokino; three times from heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements Granitnoye, Lebedinskoye and Nikolaevka” – noted in the headquarters of the OOS.

In addition, the fire was subjected settlements South and the village of the Luhansk.

“Since the beginning of the current day enemy four times fired at positions of the joint forces in the area of responsibility of tactical group East: twice from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns – the city of Marinka; from manual anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near the village of Lebedinskoe; from heavy machine guns near the settlement Pavlopol” – said at the headquarters of the OOS.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence five militants of illegal armed groups were destroyed, two were injured.
