The interior Ministry is going to propose the Ministry of labor and Ministry of economy to introduce a new fee for the opportunity to work in Russia for foreigners temporarily residing on the territory of the country or having a residence permit, writes “Kommersant”.
According to the newspaper, the interior Ministry wants to change the current fee, which currently amounts to 1600 rubles for foreigners with a temporary residence permit (RWP), and 3500 rubles for those who have a residence permit (permit). According to the interior Ministry, the fee is too small in comparison with the cost of labour patents for other migrants, which is from 30 to 60 thousand rubles. The foreigners with the residence permit of RVP and have the opportunity to use social services without paying insurance premiums.
This initiative is related to the implementation of the migration policy concept for the years 2019-2025, in which the flow of long-term migrants into the country should increase. The publication notes that currently in Russia there are about 530 thousand people with sun and more than 600 thousand people in the residence permit.
