The doctors told that it is impossible to do if you get sick with the flu

It is worth remembering a few rules.

Every year we are campaigning to get vaccinated against influenza, epidemic scare, and when the infection has already covered, to impose a shitload of drugs. Is there any sense from these recommendations, very sensibly says the pediatrician Eugene Komorowski.

* Antiviral, immune stimulant and “extremely useful” vitamins – medication with unproven efficacy.

* Prevention: wash your hands, carry wet wipes often wipe their hands. Learn yourself and teach your children, if there is no handkerchief, sneeze not into the palm, and elbow. Be sure to frequent cross-ventilation of the premises. Wash the floor. Turn on humidifiers. Moisturize mucous membranes: 1 teaspoon of salt per 1 liter of boiled water. Pour into any bottle and pricethe in the nose at least every 10 minutes.

* Treatment of acute respiratory infections and influenza in particular – is not about swallowing pills. It’s about creating the conditions so that the body can easily take care of the virus. Dress warmly, but keep the room cold and humid. Not to eat. If you want to – lung, carbohydrate, liquid. To drink (water)! Compotes, fruit drinks, tea, broth raisins, dried apricots. Perfectly prepared solutions for oral rehydration.

* All “distracting process” (banks, mustard, smearing the body fat the poor animals – goats, badgers, etc.) – classic shovels sadism. Soar children’s feet (adding boiling water in a bowl), steam inhalations over the kettle, grind the children of alcohol-containing liquids – crazy parent banditry.

* To combat the high fever, use only paracetamol or ibuprofen. But not aspirin! With the defeat of the upper respiratory tract (nose, throat, larynx), expectorants cough will increase. In the lower respiratory tract (bronchitis, pneumonia) no self-medication.

* Medications that suppress cough (antitussive effect), – absolutely not! Antiallergic drugs are not treatment of SARS relationship. Viral infections cannot be treated with antibiotics – they increase the risk of complications.

A doctor is mandatory:

* the lack of improvement on the fourth day of the disease;
* fever on the seventh day of the disease;
* deterioration after improvement;
* the severity of the condition, with moderate symptoms of SARS;
* pallor; thirst, shortness of breath, severe pain, purulent discharge;
* increased cough;
* when the temperature is not helping paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Doctor needed urgently:

* loss of consciousness;
* cramps;
* difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, feeling short of breath;
* intense pain;
* even moderate sore throat in the absence of a cold;
* even mild headache combined with vomiting;
swelling of the neck;
* a rash that does not disappear when pressure is applied on it;
* temperature above 39° C, which is not reduced 30 minutes after application of antipyretics;
* increase in temperature combined with chills and pale skin.

The enemy must know in person

According to who, the first wave of the flu epidemic season 2017/2018 gets to us in late November – early December. Viral infection is particularly dangerous complication of pneumonia, which develops immediately and is not always noticeable, but just a couple of days is able almost entirely to destroy the lungs.
