The analyst called the only mechanism for the return of the Crimea

Putin’s trip to Crimea should emphasize its role in the annexation of the Peninsula before the coming presidential election.

Ukraine will not be able by force to discourage Russia occupied Crimea, because she should rely on other methods.

In an interview, said Russian political scientist and publicist Andrei Piontkovsky.

“The only mechanism for the return of the Crimea is the fall of the Putin regime. So it depends on Russia and partly from the West. And Ukraine just have to wait for the hour. Ukraine has enough strong army, which did not exist in March 2014. Now Ukraine is able to repel any further Russian aggression, and Moscow will never agree to the escalation,” – said the expert.

Piontkovsky also said that Putin’s trip to Crimea should emphasize its role in the annexation of the Peninsula before the coming presidential election.
