Students of vocational schools, Skoda has represented beach buggy

The car is equipped with electric motor

The company Skoda has introduced a new concept of Element, based on the city’s compact Citigo. It is a double beach buggy on the drive, which was created by 22 students of the professional school Skoda.

To transform Citigo in Element, the students dismantled the roof, created a personalized body panels and developed a new trunk with a diamond coating. They also increased ground clearance of the machine because the main task of the buggy comfortable to move on the sandy road.

Skoda not really told about the characteristics of the Element, but confirmed that the car is equipped with an electric motor power of 82 HP (60 kW). Apparently, this engine has removed the concept from the electric Volkswagen e-Up!

The team worked with the car from Oct 2016, and have spent about 1,500 hours on its development. Extensive modernisation required the efforts of students from nine different fields, including artists, electricians, mechanics and logistics specialists.

It is obvious that Skoda Element will remain in the status of the show car, as well as electric coupe-crossover Vision E. as for the first serial electric vehicle brand, then it should appear in 2020.

Skoda vocational school based in the headquarters of the company in mladá Boleslav and is a supporter of dual training that combines “the right combination of theory and practical learning.” The company notes that projects such as Element, helps to inspire students, which is extremely important because currently many engineers there is a shortage of young technical professionals.
