“Rosneft” has called false and provocative material to Reuters about how she helps Venezuelas

“Rosneft” called a lie and a provocation of exclusive publication of the Reuters news Agency about its aid to Venezuela in the circumvention of sanctions, reports TASS with reference to the statement of the Russian oil company.

“The publication Reuters, “Exclusive: Venezuela bypassed US sanctions, directing the sale of oil via Russia” is a blatant lie, whose purpose provocation against “Rosneft”. Have to say that Reuters has ceased to function as an information Agency and mass media. This structure is systematically engaged in the creation and dissemination of deliberate misinformation, the legalization of rumours in the interests of customers, invents informational reasons with the aim of harming the Russian economy, Russian companies and the Russian state”, – said in a statement.

The company stressed that “in fact, these steps are informational sabotage.” “We consider it necessary to address in law enforcement agencies to curb illegal activities of pseudoevents on the territory of the Russian Federation”, – said in a statement.

Earlier Friday, Reuters, citing sources and documents reported that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro receives money from sales of Venezuelan oil via Rosneft in an attempt to circumvent U.S. sanctions.

According to the Agency, the Venezuelan PDVSA directed account from the sale of oil “Rosneft”, which in turn transfers the money to PDVSA at a discount to the sales price that “gives you the opportunity to avoid the standard term completing oil transactions constituting from 30 to 90 days, and later receives the full amount from the buyer”.

In addition, according to the Agency, this scheme has involved one of the largest buyers of Venezuelan oil – the Indian company Reliance Industries. The representative of the company confirmed to the Agency that Reliance Industries bought Venezuelan oil from Russian and Chinese intermediaries.

Note, at the end of January the United States imposed sanctions against PDVSA. Then, what said the Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, the US administration reserves the right to issue temporary licenses, which will allow some transactions with PDVSA.

The subsequent steps of Washington revealed that the White house has decided to tighten the noose of sanctions. In March, the US administration has warned foreign companies working in the field of oil trade and refining, and that they must stop direct, indirect or barter for the purchase of raw materials from Venezuela.

Now the continuation of oil deals with Venezuela will be considered as violation of us sanctions, with the exception of deliveries to Venezuela jet and diesel fuel for humanitarian purposes.
