Investor and former journalist from New Zealand Greg Agnew found the easiest way to get to the “garden party” at Buckingham Palace in London.
According to the newspaper, the man, who now lives in Los Angeles, found a little “loophole”, which in all probability appeared during the reign of Queen Victoria.
“Anyone with a new Zealand passport may just ask for an invitation. I did and they replied “Yes”. That was easy,” said Agnew.
The publication says that the same opportunity apparently exists for the citizens of some other countries, e.g. Australia.
In the end, the man received an invitation for two to a party that was held on may 16. Agnew visited Buckingham Palace with his wife Nicole.
The couple managed to see at the event Queen Elizabeth II, her husband Prince Philip and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Catherine.
Agnew called the party event memorable for a lifetime.
