Their findings the researchers made on the basis of observation of 50 people in age from 18 to 23 years who have in the past, attempts have been suicide or suicidal thoughts. Their sleep quality was evaluated during the week, when the participants of the experiment wore special bracelets that monitor traffic day and night.

It turned out that the more irregular was the bedtimes and awakening of man, the more he had suicidal thoughts. Thus, sleep disturbances directly influence the risk of suicide, as the study showed.
