Named for the animal whose blood can heal wounds

In the world there are “dragon”, whose blood can heal wounds.

Scientists have discovered a unique substance is able to resist infections in the blood of the giant Indonesian monitor lizard.

It is called the Komodo dragon.

In the saliva of reptiles contains several types of dangerous bacteria. But they miraculously have no effect on the animal. Scientists from George Mason University (USA) tried to find out why this is happening. And discovered a unique property of the blood secreted. It is able to kill bacteria and other harmful microbes.

For example, the scientists were able with the help of blood secreted to achieve healing of infected wounds in mice. Researchers believe that the blood of the Komodo dragon could be used for the treatment of complex wounds in humans.

A protein that is found in the body is secreted, can be used to create the antibiotic of the future, which combat bacteria that are resistant to modern medicines.
