A terrible fire on the ship turned into a farce “house of horror”.

In the 1930s to get on this ship wanted, because he swam straight to a tropical Paradise. The fire in the “Morro castle” was a tragedy for some and a boon for others. Some even managed to earn the most realistic ride of horrors in the world.

The liner “Morro castle” (SS Morro Castle) was the pride of the merchant fleet of the United States. He made a flight from new York to Havana (Cuba), transporting passengers from the bustling metropolis, where at that time imposed a Dry law, a tropical Paradise where you can drink and play with women of the oldest profession. In the early 1930-ies a week-long cruise on this ship was a real vacation.

About the events of the “Morro castle” on the night of 7 to 8 September 1934 found all over the world. The tragedy began with the unusual death of the captain. Witnesses say he was poisoned. Local businessmen, sensing profit, has established the payment of 25 cents for entrance to the Park. They say that this interest has not caused any single attraction in the history. Additional paying, you can get on the deck of the ship still smoldering. The thrill was out of fire, masks and lanterns. They were sent to walk around the burned-out skeleton of the more than naturalistic the “ride of terror”. His success was so loud that the Governor of the state of new Jersey even planned to turn the hull into a permanent attraction. But the owner was against it and sold the vessel for scrap.

Years later it became known that the “Morro castle” burned ship’s radio operator is a pyro. He’s poisoned the captain.
