The handwriting of the creators of the film “the Strange color of tears your body” is guessed from the first frame. At first it seems that Ellen Kate and Bruno Forzani again treat us to some juicy granular Giallo, but oddly enough, in the trailer there is no knife, no razors. Familiar crackle leather gloves, but the massacre will not be. Shooting stylish looks turns into a real shootout, with all your weapons. French spaghetti Western? Machine gun Jalla? Don’t know how to call it, but it looks great, dynamic and tough. And as always a sight for sore eyes!
The film “Let the bodies sunbathe!” (Laissez bronzer les cadavres!) is an adaptation of the eponymous crime novel of 1971, authored by Jean-Pierre Bastide and Jean-Patrick Manchette.
The story unfolds against the backdrop of scorching Mediterranean summer: blue sea, blazing sun… and 250 kg of gold stolen Reno and his gang. They found the ideal hiding place — a deserted and distant town. The only one who may wander into here, it’s a lonely artist in search of inspiration. However, it soon appears two police officers and a heavenly place immediately turns into a field of fierce battle.
Starring Elina, Levinson (“Schindler’s List”), Stephane Ferrara (“Alexander”) and Bernie Bonvoisin (“Hate”).
The premiere of the Thriller “Let the bodies sunbathe!” was held last month at the International film festival in Locarno, where the film was called, “relentless and mind-blowing”. Ahead of the release in theaters: 18 October 2017 in France and 10 January 2018 in Belgium. About broad international or output media is unheard of, but we will have to wait.
