Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko personally handed over the suspect to the deputies Borislav Rosenblatt and Maxim Polyakov offered in the investigation about the illegal traffic of amber in Ukraine.
He stated this in the Parliament.
“I just handed in the official order of suspicion, explained the rights of the suspect and the suspect Rosenblatt Polyakov. Tomorrow they were summoned for the first interrogation in the status of suspects in NABU and SAP,” said the Prosecutor General.
He also added that now it is impossible for MPs to make a submission to the court to change the measure of restraint, as the Parliament voted for this opportunity.
“No, they cannot petition to the court to change the measure of restraint, because the Parliament has not voted in favor of such a possibility in relation to Polyakov and Rosenblatt. They obviously will elect a measure not involving deprivation of freedom: personal guarantee, bail. There is a choice,” – said Lutsenko.
