In January-June 2017 the production of vodka with an alcohol content less than 45,4% in Ukraine decreased by 19.8% compared to the same period of 2016 to 6.4 million decaliters, production of brandy decreased by 21.7% to 909 thousand decaliters.
This was reported by the State statistics service.
The production of vodka in June 2017 totaled 936 thousand, which is 10.5% higher than a month earlier, and 11.6% less than in June 2016. The production of cognac and brandy in June of the current year amounted to 128 thousand, which is 0.4% higher than may of the current year and 6.9% higher than the figure for June 2016.
It is also reported that the volume of production of liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages in Ukraine in January-June increased by 9.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 2,89 million dal.
In June of the current year the production of liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages amounted to 531 thousand, which is 2.6% less than last month, 18.1% more than in June 2016. The data are presented excluding the occupied territory of the Crimea and the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
