In Romania, tens of thousands of disgruntled people took to the streets

In Romania, protesters spoke out against the new bill, which is trying to limit the powers of prosecutors in the fight against corruption.

“In front of the Parliament building in Bucharest on Sunday, November 6, there was a demonstration scheduled against Romania’s legal reform”, — stated in the message.

Noted that the protest was attended by 12 thousand people.

Recall that the Romanian Parliament is now discussing a draft reform that would limit the powers of the Prosecutor’s office, which conducts business under articles about corruption. According to the project, it will not be able to conduct an investigation against the officials, and the Ministry of justice will expand the control over the activities of prosecutors.
