Talking doll named Kyle was banned in Germany because its software can be hacked.
According to officials, this toy creates threat of security and allows to steal personal data.
The Federal network Agency of Germany (FNA) controlling the use of telecommunications, recommends that parents who have already purchased this doll for their children, to destroy it.
“The sale of doll Kayla from now on are banned in Germany. Thus we will protect the most vulnerable segments of the population”, — said the head of FNA Jochen Hohmann.
Kyle is the so-called smart doll, which kids can talk. The toy responds to the words of the user using the Internet through bluetooth.
The representative Carskogo University Stephane Hessel, who had examined the toy, said that the doll uses an unprotected bluetooth connection. Hackers can connect to the radio doll within a radius of ten meters and eavesdrop on conversations. It is also possible, when the attacker will speak to the child using the toy.
