Coal from the United States will cost the Ukrainian energy companies in the $ 90-100 per ton.

This told the energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky.

The expert explained that the purchase price of coal in the U.S. market is about 75 dollars per ton.

“The cost of handling coal to the station will be another $ 12 total, will get $ 90. Given the fact that the American company wants to earn something, I think the price can reach 100 dollars per ton of coal,” – said the expert.

In turn, the energy expert Dmitry marunich expects the cost of American coal for Ukraine can exceed $ 100 per ton.

“It seems to me that somehow the contracts tied to the cost of coal in the port of Rotterdam with some profit because there are risks force majeure”, – said the expert.

He added that earlier, the Ukrainian company has already bought coal in the United States, and then the price was $ 104 per ton.
