Chrome set a new record

In July 2017 the lead Chrome increased

Chrome is most popular browser in the world, but also continues to set new records, as evidenced by the data of the service NetMarketShare, which monitors the activity of more than 160 million unique users who view more than 40 thousand sites around the world.

In April 2016 Chrome for the first time surpassed Internet Explorer in popularity among the web browsers for personal computers, registering a market share of $ 41,71% vs 36,61% from the opponent. In July 2017 the lead Chrome has increased: the value of presence rose to a record high of 59.6%, and Microsoft, in contrast, continued to show decline (the share fell to 16.5%).

The popularity of Internet Explorer began to fall rapidly after that in early 2016 Microsoft has discontinued support for all versions of Internet Explorer except the eleventh. Since security updates and technical support is not available for Internet Explorer 10 and older versions of the Microsoft web browser.

Now the American Corporation is actively promoting another browser – Edge. However, its share in July 2017 was unchanged from the previous month, amounting to only 5,65%.

The three most popular browsers for desktops and laptops is still Firefox, whose share in the past month increased from 12% to 12.3%. The share of Safari in the second month of summer has decreased to 3.66%.

Also leads the statistics service StatCounter, taking into account more than 15 billion hits to the web pages on 3 million sites. According to this portal, the world market leader in browsers for a long time is computers Chrome, whose share in July 2017 amounted to 63.5%. In second place is Firefox (13.8 per cent). The third line in Internet Explorer (9%). Afterwards settled down Safari (5%) and Edge (4%).
