In Ivano-Frankivsk region, one of the highest peaks of the Carpathians the mountain Pop Ivan were covered with snow. It is reported on his page in Facebook Montenegrin mountain rescue post.
“As of 11:30 09.10.2017 weather in Pop Ivan Montenegro: wind South.-Zap. 7-8 m/sec. t. -2 C, cloudy”, – rescuers report.
According to them, the visibility at Popisane reaches up to 50 m.
Montenegrin Pop-Ivan, or the Black mountain – one of the highest peaks of the Carpathians. It reaches a height of 2028 m above sea level.
First snow in the Carpathians fell a few days ago. Before the weekend there was snow in Bukovel on the border, Volovets district, Transcarpathian region and, Skole district, Lviv region.
