Bill gates had to apologize for Ctrl+Alt+Del

Bill gates told me that it was originally planned to assign a function to login on one particular key.

At the Global Business forum Bloomberg bill gates had to apologize for the not-too-convenient key combination and reset the system.

During the forum, the founder and CEO of Carlyle Group David Rubenstein asked the founder of Microsoft bill gates to explain one of the strangest features of the Windows operating system.

“Why in the Windows to enter and lock need to use three fingers and whether you think it’s a good idea”, asked Rubinstein.

Gates apologized and said: “it is clear that participating in the development of people was to assign this action to another button”. However, Rubinstein was asked by the former head of Microsoft a more detailed explanation.

“You can’t go back and change little things in your life without putting other things at risk. Of course, if I could make a small edit, I would have done this operation at the touch of a button,” replied bill gates.

A few years ago bill gates told me that it was originally planned to assign a function to login on one particular key. But engineers at IBM who designed the keyboard for IBM PC, refused to comply with this requirement and invented the Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
