What can you tell us about the health of your hands

Our hands can tell us so much about what’s going on with our health.

A different sensation on our palms and our fingers can be indicators of problems in other parts of the body and are warnings that should not be ignored. The following symptoms can be caused by a specific disease or unbalanced nutrition.

1. Vitamin deficiency

If you feel a tingling sensation in the hands and fingers, it could mean that you are not getting enough of certain vitamins. At the advanced deficiency of vitamin B1 develops the disease of beriberi, the symptoms of which are tingling in the hands and fingers, as well as nausea, abdominal discomfort and irritability. Even the tingling in the fingers can be a symptom of deficiency of vitamins B6, B12 or vitamin E. the Only way to tell whether you suffer from deficiency of vitamins, is to take a blood test. If you lack vitamins, your doctor may prescribe appropriate vitamin complexes.

2. Problems with the blood circulation

Numbness in the fingertips can result from pinched nerve. In addition, if you are often cold limbs and you often feel a numbness, a sign of impaired blood microcirculation.

3. Diabetes

The tingling that often begins in the legs and runs to the hands, can be a sign of diabetes. Reason – poor circulation that can cause nerve damage.

4. Voltage

If you have recently lifted heavy objects often or keep your wrist in an uncomfortable position, it can lead to tingling in the fingers. The fact that the sensory nerves located near the surface of the skin, is under tremendous pressure. Be sure to relax. It is also important to get enough sleep and reduce stress levels.

5. Problems with the spine

Damage to the spine can cause problems with nerve pathways and result in symptoms that affect the hands. Among them numbness, tingling and impaired blood flow. If you have no contraindications to this, enjoy a swim or yoga – these types of physical activity the least traumatic.

6. Carpal tunnel syndrome

Many people feel tingling in the hands, we should lie down and relax. Often this symptom is accompanied by numbness and pain. This may mean that certain nerves in the hand are damaged and in need of adequate medical care. If you have these symptoms, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible to avoid serious damage to your health.

7. Buerger’s Disease

If your fingers are numb and look white or even blue, it can be a sign of illness of the burgher, or thromboangiitis obliterans. This condition leads to increased inflammation of small and medium blood vessels. Most often it is the result of Smoking, and in extreme cases might even require amputation, if the victim will not be able to quit Smoking.

As you can see, our hands can warn us about early symptoms of different diseases, so it is important to pay attention to the signals they send us. If you notice any of them, contact your doctor.
