Such a statement at the opening of the World Tourism Forum was made by the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim. “Turkey is safe for tourists. Nowhere in the world there is no safe place, terrorism knows no borders, is no country where there would not be terrorism. But fear of terrorism is only for the benefit of the terrorists themselves. How safe is America so Turkey, how safe is Paris — so and Istanbul”
He noted that in order to “defeat terrorism”, people from different countries need to better know each other, aided by international tourism. “The way of unification of mankind through the reading, understanding each other, communicating without fear, without prejudice,” he added.
World Tourism Forum this year takes place in Istanbul from 16 to 18 February.
