Turkey will block a popular website for booking hotels Booking.com to resolve the dispute with the Turkish Association of travel agencies.

It is reported that the Association of Turkish travel agencies (TURSAB) has accused the site of unfair competition and filed a lawsuit.

According to the General Secretary of TURSAB çetin Gorgona, people who have already made a booking via the website will not have any problems in connection with the decision of the court.

The ban will come into force after the decision of the court to the relevant authorities.

It is also noted that in previous lawsuits of TURSAB Booking.com will pay and administrative fee of 2.5 million Turkish liras Antimonopoly Agency “for the conduct of activities in violation of the rules of competition.”
