Ukraine needs to turn its Eastern border into an impregnable fortress.
This is stated in the congratulation of the Secretary of national security and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on the Day of border guard.
“For us it is important to equip the state border in the West, by European standards – comfortable and reliable, and in the East – to build an insurmountable fortress,” wrote Turchinov.
He also paid tribute to the guards who died defending their homeland, and congratulated all employees of the state border service on the occasion.
